Matt Moore calls his journey into consulting “a great and fortunate accident.” As a fresh CPA starting his career with Arthur Andersen, Moore expected to spend five years in public accounting and go the finance/CFO route with a client. “A trusted manager pulled me into an advisory project, which led me to Andersen’s risk consulting practice, which is the group from which Protiviti was created,” he says. “Once I had a taste of helping clients solve problems, I was hooked.”
