KPMG Acquires Global Outsourcing Firm EquaTerra

KPMG acquired EquaTerra, a Houston-based sourcing advisory firm with more than 300 employees in 13 offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

KPMG acquired EquaTerra, a Houston-based sourcing advisory firm with more than 300 employees in 13 offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia. The firm serves clients throughout the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific in the areas of IT, HR, finance and accounting, supply chain and procurement, among others.

"EquaTerra is an ideal fit for KPMG," says Timothy P. Flynn, Chairman, KPMG International. "Through this acquisition, clients of KPMG member firms will benefit from the addition of a market-leading sourcing adviser to help them transform their organizations into more flexible enterprises in a way that meets today's complex market demands."

Meanwhile, Mark Toon, co-founder and former CEO of EquaTerra and new KPMG LLP principal, says the deal adds value for both organizations and their clients.
