Rich Lesser, chief executive officer of consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG), was the top-rated US CEO in Glassdoor's 8th annual Employees' Choice Awards.
The online company review site based the rankings on voluntary employee input collected between May 2, 2020 and May 1, 2021. Employees rated their CEO's leadership, including approval or disapproval, as well as senior management and other factors tied to employee experience.
Glassdoor's proprietary algorithm considered quantity, quality, and consistency of company reviews for companies to make the list. Companies in the "large" category had to have at least 1,000 employees and at least 100 company reviews across CEO approval and senior management ratings.
