Cask is a business and technology consulting firm that supports our clients by helping them to achieve outcomes and solve problems through the power of their people, following process, enabled by technology, and supported by their organization’s culture. Consulting caught up with Liz Guezzale, President of Cask, to discuss the firm’s recent growth.
Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm’s growth?
Guezzale: There are three main factors that have contributed to our growth: One, our continuous ability to bring together the right teams at the right time to deliver measurable value and visible outcomes. Two, our specialization across crucial enterprise processes including customer service, technology enablement and transformation, human resources, digital experience, and organizational change management. Three, our reputation and word of mouth referrals from successful customers to their peers that have similar challenges
Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?
Guezzale: Cask has exceeded our organizational, customer satisfaction, capability development, and fiscal targets. We have continued to invest in and expand our delivery capabilities to ensure we continue to be prepared to meet our clients’ current and future needs, with great early success and outcomes.
Consulting: Where do you see the most opportunities?
Guezzale: We see 2018 as being another growth year, with a number of new major customer transformation projects. We see increased opportunities around digitization, customer service, HR, cyber security, and line of business modernization. Our customers are leveraging us to make major changes in the way they enable both their existing customers and their workforces to consume data, request services, and digitalize their experiences to increase satisfaction and efficiency, while decreasing costs.
Consulting: What would you say are your firm’s biggest challenges in 2018?
Guezzale: Our largest continued challenge is to scale our workforce in a responsible way—ensuring new employees are brought into the organization in the best way possible. That they are given the tools and resources to contribute to their customer, individual, and company success, while maintaining our culture and high quality.

Guezzale: The Fastest Growing Firms designation illustrates Cask’s commitment to responsibly growing over a multi-year period. For our clients, it shows that we are able to continue to deliver value on both a larger scale and a high number of projects and our continued ability to deliver on engagements to drive enterprise value. For our company, it allows Cask to garner positive attention that we may not otherwise receive; we really receive an increased number of inquiries for our services and applications for our open positions after publication. For our organization, it illustrates our continued commitment to the collective organization and provides reinforcement that Cask is different in how we operate.
