Adam Fernandes took a risk when he left the stability of a Big 4 consulting firm for a boutique firm like Eagle Hill Consulting. And it’s paid off.
“I’d attribute my success to a willingness to take smart risks,” Fernandes says. “Leaving a Big 4 organization was a risk, but it was absolutely the right move. I’ve had opportunities at Eagle Hill I would never have gotten.”
Today, Fernandes is a Director, Human Capital Consulting for Eagle Hill. He’s excited about being a part of a growing organization that cares about its people and wants to bring that same mindset to its clients. “I can see the impact I’m having on our clients’ culture, and ultimately on the growth of Eagle Hill.”
Fernandes has worked directly with senior executives at several prominent organizations and getting them to understand the business value of making their organization a better place to work is extremely rewarding. “I am also proud to have done my part to help Eagle Hill Consulting grow from the 20 person organization it was when I joined in 2011 to the 125 person organization we are today,” he says.
Fernandes says that aside from the sense of accomplishment he feels from being recognized as a Rising Star, winning the award has reinforced an important message. “It validates the very thing I tell my clients every day—that infusing work/life principles into company cultures creates a happier, more productive workforce,” he says.
