Professional services firm Sikich has acquired Burwood Group, a Chicago-area IT consulting and integration firm. The move is designed to strengthen Sikich's technology offerings and expand its ability to manage complex digital transformations for enterprise-level clients.
Founded nearly 30 years ago, Burwood Group specializes in IT consulting for industries including healthcare, higher education, industrials, and financial services. These sectors align with Sikich's existing niche specialties, allowing the combined entity to offer deeper technical expertise and more practical outcomes for clients as their digital platforms grow in complexity.
The acquisition comes at a time when organizations are seeking more secure IT environments and modernized technology to improve efficiency. By integrating Burwood's capabilities, Sikich aims to provide end-to-end services across its business advisory and regulated-industry ecosystem, covering business strategy, technology, and governance.
