Partnership combines Teneo's strategic advisory expertise with Thoughtworks' engineering capabilities to help CEOs accelerate AI implementation.

Management consulting firm Teneo and technology consultancy Thoughtworks have launched a new AI-focused joint venture designed to help CEOs translate artificial intelligence ambitions into tangible business results. The partnership will support the strategy, design, and operation of AI-powered platforms for global enterprises.

The venture aligns Teneo's network of 1,800 C-suite and board advisors with Thoughtworks' 10,000 engineers and its proprietary agentic development platform. By combining high-level strategic advisory with technical delivery expertise, the firms aim to address a critical gap in the market where AI strategy often fails to reach the execution phase.

"AI transformation only works when strategy, culture and execution move together," said Mike Sutcliff, CEO of Thoughtworks. "This venture unites CEO-level advisory with hands-on engineering and AI delivery. In three days, we can help clients align on new product concepts. In three weeks, we can build a working prototype. In three months, we can put new systems into production."

Alex Pigliucci, Teneo's global head of enterprise clients, will lead the joint venture. He noted that as companies navigate rapid shifts in technology and capital markets, AI represents both a significant opportunity and a source of disruption. According to Pigliucci, the partnership equips advisory teams and clients with the ability to combine strategy and execution in real time, particularly during high-stakes moments such as acquisitions and large-scale transformations.

The multidisciplinary teams will focus on a range of CEO priorities, including growth, productivity, and resilience. Beyond technical implementation, the venture will assist organizations in redesigning operating models, transforming employee experiences, and managing geopolitical and market risks through AI-driven monitoring and scenario planning.

Based in New York with hubs located globally, the joint venture is already operational. The initiative is further supported by Thoughtworks' existing ecosystem of technology partners, which includes industry leaders such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Databricks, and Nvidia.
