Firm adds LoLo Adigwe and Jorge Berrios to bolster its capabilities in renewable energy project delivery bench and forensic engineering investigations.

Global consulting firm HKA has announced two senior appointments to its engineering and construction practices, bringing in LoLo Adigwe and Jorge Berrios. The hires expand the firm's expertise in renewable energy infrastructure and complex forensic investigations for the energy and industrial sectors.

LoLo Adigwe, Director, HKA.

LoLo Adigwe joins HKA's Construction, Claims, & Expert Services group as a Director. She brings over 18 years of experience in delivering large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage programs across the United States and Canada. Adigwe's background includes extensive work with various contracting models, such as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and design-build. Her areas of focus include claims management, schedule analysis, risk management and regulatory compliance. Adigwe is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario and Alberta, Canada, holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Engineering degree at George Washington University.

Jorge Berrios, Principal, HKA.

Jorge Berrios has been appointed a Principal in the firm's Forensic Engineering practice. A licensed Professional Engineer in over 25 U.S. states and territories, Berrios specializes in the failure analysis of electrical power systems and complex loss investigations. His work involves determining the root cause of electrical fires, explosions, power system disturbances and arc flash incidents. Berrios has led investigations for clients internationally, including projects involving power plants, utility-scale solar arrays, and industrial facilities. He has also served as an expert witness in multiple cases related to energy assets and large-scale property losses. Berrios is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University.

These appointments come as the energy and industrial sectors face increasing complexity related to decarbonization, grid modernization, and the integration of new technologies. By adding specialists in both project delivery and forensic analysis, HKA is positioning itself to provide end-to-end support for clients navigating these challenges.
