New agentic AI platform aims to centralize access to multiple LLMs and proprietary tools, focusing on driving client growth beyond simple efficiency gains.

Consulting firm Prophet has launched MAIA (Multi-Agent Intelligent Assistant), an in-house agentic AI platform designed to consolidate its suite of AI-powered solutions for client engagements. The platform acts as a central hub for Prophet's teams to access and deploy various AI tools, integrating directly into consultant and client workflows.

MAIA provides users with access to a range of large language models (LLMs), including those from OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic, allowing for direct comparison of outputs. A key component is a library of pre-built, customizable AI agents developed with Prophet's own methodologies. The firm states these agents are designed for tasks such as research, insights generation and innovation. The platform also includes what the company calls its AI Accelerator Network, a group of vetted third-party AI partners.

Prophet's leadership positions the platform as a tool for driving top-line growth rather than just operational efficiency. "The real unlock with AI is growth, not just efficiency," said Michael Dunn, Chairman and CEO of Prophet. This move reflects a growing trend among consulting firms to develop proprietary technology layers to differentiate their services in an increasingly crowded AI solutions market.

"When we surveyed the landscape, there wasn't a solution offering broad choices, commercial agility and scalability and effective governance in one platform and that's why we built MAIA," said Chan Suh, Senior Partner and Chief Digital Officer. "As the LLMs see widespread adoption and the risk of their commoditization grows, MAIA empowers business leaders and marketers to unlock growth with individualized solutions at the speed of technology."

According to the company, the platform has already been applied in several client scenarios. These include building a centralized knowledge base for an entertainment company, developing a custom market-sizing agent that reportedly reduced a weeks-long process to hours for a consumer brand, and creating a bespoke multi-agent system for a software client's own enterprise AI instance.

MAIA is currently available for internal use by Prophet's partners and associates. The firm plans to make the platform available for client co-creation and collaboration later this year.
