With over a decade of experience in compliance and investigations, Machado will focus on strengthening the firm's global offerings, particularly in Latin American markets.
HKA has appointed Rey Machado to its Forensic Accounting & Investigations practice. Based in Miami, Machado brings more than 11 years of experience in forensic investigations, anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance, and fraud risk assessments in high-risk markets around the world.
Throughout his career, Machado has led large-scale internal investigations and ABAC audit programs for public companies. His work has also covered matters related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), whistleblower investigations, internal control evaluations and pre-acquisition diligence for major international transactions. This background positions him to support HKA's clients in navigating complex regulatory environments.
"I look forward to applying my experience in forensic investigations, compliance audits, and risk assessments, as well as my expertise in Latin American markets, to strengthen HKA's global investigations offerings to support our clients' complex challenges," Machado stated.
Before joining HKA, Machado developed corporate policies and compliance training for organizations in the industrial, technological, agricultural and manufacturing sectors. His experience includes designing and delivering specialized anti-corruption training to global teams.
Machado is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. He holds both a Master of and a Bachelor of Accounting and Economics from Florida International University and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
