Promotions span key practice areas including labor and discrimination, antitrust, data science and securities, strengthening the firm's senior leadership in high-demand sectors.

Economic and financial consulting firm Cornerstone Research has announced the promotion of nine professionals to senior positions. The firm elevated five individuals to vice president and four to principal.

The new vice presidents are Sara Champion, Avigail Kifer, Matteo Li Bergolis, Elisa Olivieri and M. Scott Wilson. The newly appointed principals are Phuong Dinh, Ildikó Magyari, Alan F. D. Potter, and Qiqi Zou.

"I am delighted to congratulate our newest vice presidents and principals, whose talent and commitment are fundamental to the firm's continued success," said Rahul Guha, Cornerstone's CEO. "Beyond their professional leadership, their dedication to supporting their colleagues and fostering a collaborative culture is essential to the value we deliver to our clients and experts."

The promotions reinforce the firm's expertise across several core practices. In the labor and discrimination practice, both coheads Sara Champion and Elisa Olivieri were promoted to vice president. Their work involves economic analysis of discrimination claims, equal pay issues and competition in labor markets.

The firm's antitrust and competition capabilities are also bolstered with the promotions of Avigail Kifer to vice president and Ildikó Magyari to principal. Kifer specializes in merger review and technology matters, with published research on AI and market dynamics, while Magyari focuses on M&A investigations across numerous industries.

In the consumer fraud and product liability practice, Matteo Li Bergolis was named vice president and Alan F. D. Potter was named principal. Li Bergolis handles economic issues in product liability and data privacy cases, while Potter's expertise is in survey methodology and consumer behavior analysis.

Cornerstone also strengthened its leadership in financial and data-centric practices. M. Scott Wilson, cohead of the insurance and pension practice, was promoted to vice president, specializing in insurance markets and securities. Qiqi Zou, now a principal, focuses on securities class actions and structured finance. Phuong Dinh's promotion to principal recognizes her work in applying data science tools, including large language models (LLMs), to commercial litigation support.
