Former Stax CEO succeeds retiring Beth Florin, who will transition to the board of the executive compensation and leadership advisory firm.
Executive compensation consulting firm Pearl Meyer has named Jayson Traxler its new chief executive officer, the company announced today. Traxler takes over from Beth Florin, who is retiring after more than 25 years with the firm.
Florin, who has served as CEO since 2022, will remain with Pearl Meyer as a Senior Advisor to assist with the transition until May 2026. Following this period, she will formally retire and join the company's Board of Directors.
Traxler joins Pearl Meyer from Stax, a global strategy consulting firm where he also served as CEO. During his tenure, Stax, which focuses on commercial due diligence and value creation, expanded its service lines and geographic presence. Traxler has over 25 years of experience in strategic finance, with the last 12 years spent in the professional services industry.
In a statement, Florin noted that the firm had a long-term succession plan in place and identified Traxler after a formal search process.
The appointment brings a leader with a background in strategy consulting and private equity-backed growth to the specialized executive compensation firm. Pearl Meyer is a portfolio company of Coalesce Capital. Stephanie Geveda, Founder & Managing Partner at Coalesce Capital, commented that Traxler brings a "valuable external perspective, operational expertise, and a proven growth track record."
"As our clients increase their focus on the strategic importance of human capital and talent management, we will build on Pearl Meyer's longstanding strengths," Traxler said in the announcement. He added that the firm would focus on "enhancing our platform while preserving the deep expertise, independence, and client-centric approach that define our firm."
