Move is aimed at expanding the firm's transaction advisory capabilities for private equity and corporate clients involved in M&A activities.

CrossCountry Consulting, a business advisory and technology firm, has announced its acquisition of CDS, a San Francisco-based company specializing in financial due diligence. The deal is intended to build out CrossCountry's transaction advisory solutions for clients engaged in mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and recapitalizations.

The integration of CDS brings expertise in both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, serving a client base that includes private equity funds, corporate clients, and lenders.

"The addition of CDS not only strengthens our ability to serve the Office of the CFO but also improves our ability to provide comprehensive solutions to private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies across the deal and investment life cycles," said Erik Linn, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CrossCountry Consulting.

As part of the acquisition, CDS will be fully integrated into CrossCountry's existing operations. The firm's partners, Brian Drue and Anthony Azevedo, will lead the new Financial Due Diligence practice within CrossCountry.

"This partnership represents a unique opportunity to leverage our combined expertise and resources to better serve our clients," said Brian Drue, Founder and Partner at CDS.
