Amish Thakker and Dan Schwartz join as Partners & Managing Directors, bringing extensive experience in supply chain and digital transformation from the rival firm.
AlixPartners has appointed two senior partners from competitor Bain & Co. to leadership roles within its consulting practices. Amish Thakker joins the firm’s Automotive & Industrial practice, while Dan Schwartz joins the Aerospace, Defense & Aviation practice. Both will hold the title of Partner & Managing Director.
The dual appointments signal a strategic move by AlixPartners to deepen its expertise in industrial sectors currently navigating significant operational and technological shifts. Both Thakker and Schwartz bring over 20 years of experience advising clients on challenges related to supply chain disruption, performance improvement, and the integration of digital tools and AI.
Amish Thakker, who was previously a partner in Bain’s performance improvement and supply chain practices, has experience across diversified industrials, medtech, aerospace, consumer products, and semiconductors. At AlixPartners, he will focus on areas including global manufacturing performance and fluid supply chains.
“Clients are seeking a reset to capitalize on the shifts in supply chains, technology, and industrial policy,” Thakker stated in a press release.
Dan Schwartz, based in Washington, D.C., was formerly a Senior Partner in the Aerospace and Defense practice at Bain & Co. His work centers on production ramps, supply chain issues, and acquisition reform within the A&D industry.
“This is a time of unprecedented disruption, uncertainty, and change for the entire industry,” said Schwartz. He noted that “speed, agility, and quality have never been so important” for companies across the aerospace and government services landscape.
The hires come as companies in these capital-intensive sectors face continued pressure to enhance operational efficiency and build more resilient organizations in the face of global market disruptions.
