Energy and Resources practice lead will succeed Adrian Bettridge in April 2026, tasked with guiding the firm through a period of technological change.
Global consulting firm Baringa has elected David Hatcher as its new Managing Partner, effective April 2026. Hatcher will take over from Adrian Bettridge, who has led the firm since 2014.
The transition marks the end of a significant growth period under Bettridge’s leadership. He joined Baringa in 2007 to build its Financial Services practice when the firm had just 50 employees. During his tenure as Managing Partner, Baringa expanded to a team of over 2,000 professionals across 14 countries.

The incoming Managing Partner, David Hatcher, joined Baringa in 2012 from EY. He most recently led the firm’s Energy and Resources sector, overseeing its expansion across four continents. In his new role, Hatcher will be responsible for navigating the firm through an evolving market landscape.
Hatcher pointed to the influence of new technologies as a key factor shaping the industry's future. “The consulting market is undergoing a period of change as technologies like artificial intelligence transform the way we work and solve business challenges," he stated. "This evolution presents incredible opportunities for Baringa to continue disrupting the market and delivering powerful results for our clients."
Following the transition, Bettridge will remain involved with the firm as an advisor to the leadership team and will continue to support global clients.
