Firm brings on the former Accenture and NACD professional to lead marketing and business development in a newly created role aimed at supporting national growth.
Compensation Advisory Partners (CAP), a national consulting firm focused on executive compensation, has named Lindsey Baker as its first Chief Marketing Officer. The appointment signals a strategic move by the firm to formalize its marketing and business development initiatives as it continues to expand.
In the newly created position, Baker will be responsible for leading CAP’s overall marketing strategy, which includes brand management, developing thought leadership, and fostering strategic partnerships. She will work with the firm's leadership to build on its relationships with boards, compensation committees, and executive management teams.
Baker joins CAP with significant experience in corporate governance and board-level engagement. Most recently, she was the Senior Vice President of External Relations at BoardProspects, a board recruitment platform. Prior to that, she served as Senior Manager of Board Effectiveness and Sustainability at Accenture, where she developed a board governance framework and led workshops for C-suite executives and board members.
Her background also includes a nearly ten-year tenure at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), where she rose to the position of Director of Partner Relations, managing sponsor relationships and developing programs centered on governance best practices.
Eric Hosken, a Partner at Compensation Advisory Partners, noted that Baker’s experience in board effectiveness and corporate governance will be valuable as the firm expands its national presence and client services.
In a statement, Baker said her experience working directly with corporate boards has provided insight into the role executive compensation plays in corporate governance. She plans to leverage that expertise to increase CAP's market presence.
Baker holds a Bachelor of Science in Business-Marketing from Elon University and will be based in CAP’s New York office.
