The all-cash deal for the U.S.-based consulting firm, following the recent purchase of ListEngage, aims to position the IT services company as a top global Salesforce advisor and advance its AI-focused strategy.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Coastal Cloud, a Salesforce Summit partner based in Palm Coast, Florida, for an all-cash consideration of $700 million. The move is a significant step in TCS's strategy to expand its Salesforce advisory and consulting capabilities.

This acquisition comes just two months after TCS purchased ListEngage in October 2025, another Salesforce Summit Partner with expertise in Marketing and Commerce Cloud. With the addition of Coastal Cloud, TCS states it will rank among the top five Salesforce advisory and consulting firms globally. The transaction is aimed at strengthening the company's ability to deliver AI-driven business transformations for its clients.

Founded in 2012 and led by CEO Eric Berridge, Coastal Cloud specializes in enterprise-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce transformations, including Sales, Service, Marketing, and Commerce Cloud. The firm, in which Salesforce Ventures has been a strategic investor, will bring over 400 professionals with more than 3,000 multi-cloud certifications to TCS. The deal is also expected to provide TCS with greater access to the mid-market customer segment.

Aarthi Subramanian, Chief Operating Officer at TCS, noted that the acquisition is a key move in advancing the company's global Salesforce capabilities and its AI-led agenda. "By adding over 400 multi-cloud specialists with deep industry expertise, we are strengthening our advisory and business consulting capabilities and enhancing our AI and data offerings," Subramanian said.

For Coastal Cloud, the acquisition provides an opportunity for greater scale and global reach. "Our team’s Salesforce and multi-cloud expertise, combined with TCS’ global reach, advanced AI capabilities and enterprise scale solutions, will allow us to support customers across a broader spectrum of transformation needs," said Eric Berridge.

According to TCS, the combination of Coastal Cloud and ListEngage will create a more comprehensive Salesforce practice capable of delivering full-stack solutions. Vikram Karakoti, Global Head of Enterprise Solutions at TCS, said the two acquisitions "expand our geographic presence, deepen our sector capabilities, and significantly strengthen our talent pool."

The deal is part of a wider M&A strategy for TCS, which continues to pursue acquisitions aligned with its priorities in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital engineering. The transaction is currently subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.
