Carolyn O’Boyle, Chief People Officer, Aprio.

O’Boyle, who most recently served as Chief People Officer at the Boston Beer Company, will lead the advisory firm's talent strategy as her predecessor, Larry Sheftel, transitions to a new advisory role.

Accounting and business advisory firm Aprio has named Carolyn O’Boyle as its new Chief People Officer and Partner. O’Boyle joins the firm from the Boston Beer Company, where she held the dual roles of Chief People Officer and Head of Strategy.

Prior to her position at Boston Beer, O’Boyle spent two decades at Deloitte, where her roles included National Managing Director of Talent and Chief Operating Officer for Deloitte Talent.

In her new role at Aprio, O’Boyle is tasked with creating a talent strategy aligned with the firm's business goals and developing a workforce strategy to support its technology and service delivery models

“Carolyn’s leadership will be a catalyst for transformative growth, elevating how we attract, develop, and empower our talent to deliver exceptional client experiences,” said Richard Kopelman, CEO of Aprio.

O’Boyle succeeds Larry Sheftel, who will now serve as Partner and HR Advisor with the Aprio Alliance Workforce and Operations Team. Under Sheftel’s leadership, Aprio received multiple workplace honors, including national and regional awards from Energage and USA Today, and was named to Vault’s Top 150 Internships list.

“Aprio is building the firm of the future, and that starts with our people,” O’Boyle stated. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside an incredible team and to foster an environment where talent fuels transformative growth.”
