Sara E. Gilley, Senior Vice President and Co-head, Securities Litigation Practice, Cornerstone Research
Sara Gilley is a senior vice president at Cornerstone Research, based in the firm’s Chicago office. Ms. Gilley is an expert in securities litigation, consulting on economic and financial issues related to federal and state class actions, corporate investigations and government enforcement activity. In addition, she provides consulting services on economic issues in a range of complex financial matters. Ms. Gilley co-heads Cornerstone Research’s securities litigation practice and has substantial experience analyzing economic issues at the class certification, loss causation and damages phases. Her work spans multiple sectors, including financial institutions, life sciences and high-tech, in both U.S. and global legal environments. Ms. Gilley also co-manages the firm’s research related to enforcement actions by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and publishes regularly on this topic. She has served on Cornerstone Research’s executive committee, as well as its budget, capital funding, conflict resolution and pro bono committees. Ms. Gilley is also a board member of Open Books, a Chicago-based literacy nonprofit.
