Move sees founding CEO Jeremy M. Kroll transition to Vice Chairman, as the risk advisory firm positions itself to address shifts in technology, security and regulation.
Risk management and investigations firm K2 Integrity has named Aaron Karczmer its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The appointment is part of a broader leadership transition that moves co-founder and founding CEO Jeremy M. Kroll to the role of Vice Chairman of the Board. Co-founder Jules B. Kroll will become the non-executive Chairman of the Board.
Karczmer joins the firm from PayPal, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Enterprise Services Officer. In that role, he was responsible for global risk and compliance policy, customer service and regulatory relations. His background also includes nearly a decade at American Express in various leadership positions focused on compliance and financial crime risk frameworks. He began his career in the New York County District Attorney’s office, where he co-founded a unit dedicated to combating identity theft and cyber-crime.
The leadership change comes as K2 Integrity looks to expand its services in response to increasing complexity in the global business environment. Karczmer’s experience in financial technology, regulatory compliance, and enterprise transformation aligns with the challenges many of the firm's clients currently face. Based in New York, he will also chair the firm’s Executive Committee and join its Board of Directors.
In his new role as Vice Chairman, Jeremy M. Kroll will remain with the firm in a full-time management capacity. His focus will be on supporting growth, client service and strategic investments. He will also continue to serve as a member of the Executive Committee, ensuring leadership continuity.
“I look forward to meeting everyone and championing and supporting our teams as they continue to serve our clients and fuel the future of the company,” Karczmer said in a statement.
