Deal combines the management consulting firm’s life sciences and AI expertise with Torrent's specialized Salesforce implementation skills, aiming to enhance patient and provider engagement platforms.
Global management consulting and technology firm ZS has announced its acquisition of Torrent Consulting, a firm specializing in Salesforce multicloud implementations for the health care and life sciences sectors. The move is intended to merge ZS’s strategic advisory services in health care with Torrent's technical capabilities on the Salesforce platform.
The acquisition comes as health care and life sciences organizations increasingly focus on personalized engagement to improve patient outcomes. By integrating Torrent’s expertise with Salesforce Health Cloud and Life Sciences Cloud, ZS aims to offer clients more robust solutions for customer relationship management (CRM) and AI-driven workflows.
"Torrent Consulting strengthens our Salesforce and Agentforce bench, bringing the tools and experience clients need to confidently deploy AI in commercial field, medical, service and contact center workflows,” said Mahmood Majeed, ZS Managing Principal and Global Head of Digital and Technology.
This deal reflects a broader trend in the consulting industry where large strategic firms are acquiring specialized technology implementation partners to provide end-to-end services. Rather than only developing strategy, firms like ZS are positioning themselves to manage the technical execution of those plans, particularly on complex platforms like Salesforce.
The combined entity will have representation on five Salesforce Partner Advisory Boards, which could provide clients with earlier insights into platform developments. Srihari Sarangan, ZS Principal and Global CRM Lead, noted this "ability to influence the future direction of healthcare-specific Salesforce solutions" as a key differentiator for the firm.
Torrent Consulting has been a Salesforce implementation partner, earning industry recognition over the last decade. The firm's CEO, Austin Rawlings, stated that joining ZS provides the scale and global reach necessary to accelerate its mission. "Our combined strengths will allow us to deliver even greater innovation and impact for our customers during a time of profound change in the industry," Rawlings said.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
