ImagineX is a leading digital services firm that helps its customers build scalable custom software and secure their technology systems. Headquartered in Atlanta with support from our digital Studio in Costa Rica, ImagineX works with enterprise customers on their most critical software, data, AI and cybersecurity initiatives. We are a 3x Inc5000 Fastest Growing Private Company, a 6x Atlanta Business Chronicle Great Place to Work and an 8x consecutive Consulting Magazine Best Firm to Work For.

CMAG: What characteristics and elements would you attribute to your firm’s inclusion as a Best Firm to Work For?

In our industry, a company is only as good as the people who represent us in front of our clients but we have managed to find that extra magic that comes out of putting amazing people together to let them do amazing things. This creates exponential value for our clients and our company. It is our focus on our culture, our employee-friendly policies, and a commitment to professional growth inside of ImagineX that makes us a Best Firm.

CMAG: Are there any specific programs or initiatives that contributed to you being included as a Best Firm?

Year over year our team members say that ImagineX provides the "flexibility" that allows them to balance their lives with work and bring their best selves to ImagineX and our clients. When you have happy people who have the power to decide how best to deliver for their teammates and clients, being a best firm in our space is not surprising. In Costa Rica, our team members celebrate the flexibility of a "9-80" policy and our US team members enjoy our "Summer Fridays" program.

CMAG: In describing your firm, what would you say sets it apart from other consulting firms?

While many consulting firms offer a broad range of services, ImagineX has carved out a specific niche - we don't like to just advise our clients on what to do, we focus our attention on actually delivering those innovation technologies to our clients' end customers. We are deeply technical and are the best in class when building enterprise software applications, data and AI solutions, and world-class cybersecurity programs. We cater these solutions to our clients' specific industries and use cases because we have been doing this at ImagineX for 10 years and for 20-30 years across our careers. We also differentiate ourselves by our strong client NPS score of 82 and almost non-existent employee attrition. This makes us "small enough to care but large enough to scale" and the reason for our strong growth over the past two years.

CMAG: Where your workforce is concerned, what would you say your priorities look like for the upcoming year and beyond?

Our most important workforce initiative has been teaching and equipping each employee with a set of GenAI tools and a requirement to start leveraging AI in their daily work. We support responsible AI experimentation and have created an open forum for building AI PoCs that we will leverage internally and for our clients. Passing the efficiencies we are starting to realize on to our clients is going to be table-stakes for 2026 and beyond. Secondly, I would say that we will need to balance maintenance of our special culture with our growth. We have seen this happen with other growing professional services firms - how do you not lose what makes you special as you continue to grow the business? We believe we have this problem solved.

CMAG: What opportunities do you see as the most promising?

It comes as no surprise that anything AI is where the majority of consulting firms and their clients are focusing. At ImagineX we are focusing on specific AI use cased related to embedding GenAI in the SDLC, AI governance for cyber, and how AI can improve reporting and monitoring of our client's critical infrastructure and systems. We are assuredly in an AI revolution and ImagineX is staying ahead of the curve - we can create AI solutions in hours and days and this is something we never thought possible just a few years ago.

CMAG: What market forces do you see as the most challenging?

Our economic environment is expected to remain volatile through this year and next and these impacts are being felt at many of our clients. These pressures force our clients to look to insourcing more than in the past. But even with AI, finding top talent is still difficult for our clients - they need partners to accelerate their initiatives and should continue to leverage consultants to burst and scale. That creates a lot of management of project resources and allocations as projects remain smaller than we would like. But we have recently built an internal system to help us manage our operations so that we can quickly deploy the right team at the right time for our clients. This ease in doing business and the ability to leverage our nearshore delivery center makes ImagineX a great alternative to the large consulting firms and offshore providers.

CMAG: What impact do you think Best Firm to Work For honors will have on your employees? The firm overall? Clients?

Winning this award for 8 consecutive years is truly a blessing - it validates that our founding principles of "doing what is right for our employees, our clients, the company and our community" is still alive and well at the company almost a decade later. Each ImagineXer celebrates each others success, supports and cares for one another. And this creates the high performing teams that clients enjoy working with. This award means ImagineX is the best at what we do and is a chance for us to celebrate all the effort that each person puts in each day to deliver excellence.
