CMAG: What characteristics and elements would you attribute to your firm’s inclusion as a Best Firm to Work For?

Our inclusion on this prestigious list is a testament to our talented and dedicated people. Every day, they embody our mission, vision and values — bringing the best of CapTech to our clients and to each other. Their expertise and passion for what’s next drive us to achieve exceptional outcomes, foster strong relationships and deliver unparalleled value. This is the foundation of success that will continue to propel us forward as we navigate the ever-evolving consulting landscape.

CMAG: Are there any specific programs or initiatives that contributed to you being included as a Best Firm?

CapTech’s consultants embody our core values. In addition to excelling in client delivery, they collaborate with one another to lead both formal and grassroots programs and initiatives throughout the year.

  • The monthly affinity events and mentorship opportunities of our seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • The steady CapTech Cares spirit through local and nationwide community support activities
  • Our competitive Total Rewards program, providing a flexible and comprehensive package that offers compensation, benefits, and perks to fit our employees’ life and priorities.
  • The regular focus groups conducted by our People Council to gather insights from our employees
  • A series of transparent and open Q&A opportunities every quarter with our CEO after companywide quarterly meetings
  • Changes implemented in response to employee feedback from our annual engagement survey; from the 2024 survey this included:
  • Creation of the Practitioner Effectiveness Framework in support of CapTechers seeking a technical career path
  • Transition from an accrual-based to unlimited (flexible) Paid Time Off
  • Extension of the Reverse Mentorship Program that pairs junior team members with senior leaders for impactful discussions and connections
  • Prioritization of connection as our first objective in the 2025 CapTech Playbook: “Energize our culture by connecting in person and increasing the number of people who are engaged and contributing.”

These examples reflect our dedication to fostering a supportive, dynamic work environment, which contributes to our recognition as a Best Firm.

CMAG: Where your workforce is concerned, what would you say your priorities look like for the upcoming year and beyond?

Advancing as an AI-Powered Organization - We are investing heavily in purpose-driven AI. We’re doing this internally through the acceleration of AI-based trainings and initiatives. At the same time, we’re focused on helping our clients unlock business value through AI solutions that are tailored, trustworthy and transformative.

Culture, Core Values and Well-being - Our greatest asset is our people. This is backed by tangible initiatives:

  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)\
  • Regular focus group sessions, quarterly Q&As with our CEO, and an annual engagement survey for gathering employee feedback
  • Mental health partnerships and enhanced benefits to support holistic well-being
  • CapTech Cares community and sustainability initiatives, reinforcing a culture of purpose and responsibility
CMAG: What opportunities do you see as the most promising?

CapTech thrives on innovation and thinking outside of the box to meet our clients’ needs. Today’s market is ripe with opportunities for meaningful innovation. Our values and technical expertise will continue to guide us as we help clients harness emerging technologies—like AI, machine learning and automation—to drive efficiency, elevate customer experiences and create new business models. We also see promising growth in data modernization, cloud transformation and digital product development, all of which position us to deliver even greater impact through 2026.

CMAG: What market forces do you see as the most challenging?

The consulting industry is experiencing extreme disruption with the fast-paced advances of AI, alongside market forces that are causing clients to be more cautious. Companies must act quickly to remain competitive and relevant. At CapTech, we have the cultural core and technical expertise to adapt and move through this shift as an opportunity. We are well positioned to leverage the adoption of AI and innovation that comes with it to grow our position in the market.

As client expectations evolve, our ability to stay agile, deliver measurable value, and lead with empathy will be critical. We’re confident that by staying true to our values and embracing change, we’ll continue to help our clients—and our firm—thrive in this dynamic environment.

CMAG: What impact do you think Best Firm to Work For honors will have on your employees? The firm overall? Clients?

Being recognized as a Best Firm to Work For is a powerful affirmation of our culture, values, and the people who bring them to life every day. For our employees, this honor reinforces that their contributions matter and that they are part of a workplace that prioritizes belonging, growth and purpose. It boosts morale, deepens engagement, and strengthens pride in being a CapTecher.

For the firm, it validates our strategic focus on people-first initiatives. These efforts not only support our internal community but also position us as a destination for top talent and a leader in workplace excellence.

For our clients, this recognition signals that they’re partnering with a firm that invests in its people—because empowered, supported consultants deliver better outcomes. The award builds trust and reinforces our reputation as a values-driven organization that consistently brings curiosity, empathy and innovation to every engagement.
