KPMG International has appointed four new Global Sector Heads to lead its Banking & Capital Markets, Healthcare, Government and Infrastructure & Transport practices. All four appointments are internal promotions, a move the firm says reflects a focus on continuity and deep sector experience. The new leaders will be responsible for global networks of professionals providing Audit, Tax, and Advisory services within their respective sectors.

“These appointments underscore the depth of our talent and our commitment to cultivating leaders who truly understand our clients, our culture and our global strategy,” said Regina Mayor, Global Head of Clients & Markets at KPMG International. “Each leader brings outstanding expertise and leadership at a time of growing global complexity.”

The newly appointed heads succeed a group of retiring leaders at the firm.

Banking & Capital Markets

Geoff Rush has been named Global Head of Banking & Capital Markets, succeeding Francisco “Paco” Uría. Based in Toronto, Rush has over 25 years of experience in transformation programs across banking, insurance and wealth management. He will continue in his roles as the Global Financial Services Lead for Advisory and Global Lead Partner for TD Bank Group.

“The global banking landscape is undergoing transformation, shaped by geopolitical shifts, rapid technological innovation, evolving regulatory frameworks and changing client expectations,” Rush stated. “I look forward to collaborating with leaders across EMA, the Americas, and Asia Pacific to help our clients navigate change and unlock sustainable growth.”

Healthcare

Beccy Fenton will take on the role of Global Head of Healthcare. She succeeds Anna van Poucke, who is retiring after 15 years with the firm. Fenton has been with KPMG in the UK for 13 years, previously serving as UK Head of Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she led healthcare support initiatives for the UK Government and the National Health Service.

“I am honored to take on this new role at a time when technology is reshaping the future of health systems around the world,” Fenton said. “I look forward to working alongside KPMG firms’ professionals to help clients navigate complexity, embrace digital transformation and build resilient, tech-enabled healthcare ecosystems.”

Government

Dean Grandy has been appointed Global Head of Government, taking over from the retiring Brenda Walker. Grandy has been a Partner in KPMG Australia’s Canberra office for 12 years, where he also served as the Global Digital Government Leader, advising on large-scale digital transformation projects for the Australian Federal Government.

“Future-fit governments must be technology-enabled, data driven and joined up to unlock the potential of truly digital government,” said Grandy. “I look forward to working closely with our country and regional government leaders, global clients, alliance partners, and colleagues across KPMG’s global network to seize the opportunities ahead.”

Infrastructure & Transportation

Lisa Kelvey is the new Global Head of Infrastructure & Transportation, succeeding Richard Threlfall upon his retirement. Kelvey, a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years of experience, has been with KPMG in the UK for 13 years. She previously served as the EMA Region Head of Infrastructure and currently leads the UK firm’s Major Projects Advisory.

“At a time when our sector is experiencing unprecedented demand, unlocking productivity is critical to deliver long term sustainable value for clients and communities,” Kelvey commented. “I am excited to work alongside our global teams to shape the technology-enabled infrastructure and transport systems that will serve the next generation and beyond.”
