Firm hires 30-year Big Four veteran as a new Vice President, signaling a continued focus on expanding its cross-border tax advisory services.
Charles River Associates (CRA) has announced the appointment of Dr. Arin Mitra as a Vice President in its Transfer Pricing Practice. Mitra joins the firm from a Big Four global tax and advisory services firm where he spent over three decades, most recently as a Lead Tax and Transfer Pricing Client Services Principal.
In his previous role, Mitra managed client engagements across the full spectrum of transfer pricing, including planning, advance pricing agreements (APA), and the implementation of operational transfer pricing systems. His work included leading the economic analysis for more than 50 bilateral APAs involving the United States and international partners such as Japan, Australia, India, Canada and France.
"He has more than three decades of experience with intercompany transactions and joins a growing and dynamic team committed to helping our clients with their most complex, cross-border tax issues,” said Paul Maleh, President and CEO of Charles River Associates.
Rebel Curd, CRA Vice President and Transfer Pricing Practice Leader, noted Mitra's experience in providing expert testimony, managing large teams of tax professionals, and advising multinational corporations on transfer pricing strategies.
Dr. Mitra holds a Ph.D. and an MA in Economics from Brown University, an MA in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a BCom in Accounting from Calcutta University.
