
Professor Grennan is also an accomplished expert witness and has provided verbal and written testimony in numerous high-profile health care matters, including EpiPen Direct Purchasers vs. PBMs, Fortis/Auris vs. Johnson & Johnson, State of WV vs. Walmart, Abbott Cardiovascular vs. Edwards Lifesciences, and United States of America vs. Krikor Topouzian. His clients in these matters have ranged from Walmart to the United States Department of Justice.
Professor Grennan specializes in using empirical and theoretical industrial organization models to analyze health care and life science markets. His work examines how complex incentives and imperfect information affect how health technologies are developed, adopted and priced. He has received research grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute for Health Care Management. Professor Grennan is currently a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and an Editor at the Journal of Political Economy Microeconomics.
