Dilek Çilingir, Leader, Global Forensic & Integrity Services, EY

Global advisory EY has appointed Dilek Çilingir as EY Global Forensic & Integrity Services Leader following the retirement of previous Leader, Andrew Gordon in June this year.

In the role, effective immediately, Dilek will guide EY Global Forensic & Integrity Services (EY Forensics) as it continues to grow and as it expands the support it provides to organizations around the world in managing and restoring their financial reputations. This includes playing a key role in driving audit quality in the business.

The global team of 5,500 highly experienced forensic, law enforcement, compliance, regulatory and technology professionals helps organizations and their legal counsel respond to high-stakes situations, including fraud, regulatory breaches, cyber-attacks, investigations, business disputes and other crises. The team also works with organizations to put integrity at the heart of their compliance programs, so they are better equipped to manage ethical and reputational risks.

Dilek brings rich client service experience from a 30-year international career that has so far spanned leadership roles in forensics, assurance and consulting. She led EY Assurance services in Turkey for nine years and established a Forensics practice there and in nine other countries.

Prior to joining the EY organization, Dilek spent eight years with another global professional services organization based in the U.S., where she led a varied portfolio of Fortune 500 client engagements and a diverse global team.

For the past four years Dilek has served as EY Global Talent Leader for Assurance services, responsible for overseeing talent strategy and implementation for all EY Assurance services internationally, and for a team of 130,000 people in more than 140 countries.

"Dilek has a fantastic track record built up during a career over three decades and across several countries and business areas," said Marie-Laure Delarue, EY Global Vice Chair, Assurance. "Her strong credentials in forensics and her natural ability to forge connections and to lead and inspire global teams, mean that she's extremely well placed to take EY Forensics to the next stage of its growth."

On the appointment, Çilingir said, "EY Forensics is where I began my time as an EY leader, and it feels like home. It's a business that's gone from strength to strength, and with integrity and ethics under the intense global spotlight, the opportunity for further growth is clear. I am very proud to be able to return to serve as its leader and I look forward to working with EY teams in support of clients across the globe."
