Ben T. Smith, IV is a Board Member, Senior Partner, and the Global Lead for the Digital and Analytics practice at Kearney. In his previous role, Ben ran the high-growth Communications, Media, and Technology practice in the Americas, in addition to his work with the firm's venture capital relationships and strategic acquisitions.

Ben, who grew up in rural Alabama, is a founder and operator at his core. Working at the intersection of new technology and corporate innovation, he is a key advisor to Kearney's clients on digital transformations, strategy, acquisitions and investment. Ben takes a client-first approach to addressing their unique business needs across industries from transportation, communications, media, technology and retail.

Ben first joined Kearney in 1994 and was instrumental in developing the firm's high-tech practice. Rising to the leadership ranks as one of the youngest partners in the firm's history, he co-founded Kearney's dot.com investment fund. He left in 2002 to take up venture capital and public board roles in the subsequent 15 years. He was asked to return to Kearney as a "boomerang" partner, where his valuable and deep experience continues to contribute to his strong record of success at the firm.
