Nominations are now open for Consulting Magazine's Rising Stars of the Profession 2024, but as importantly, two new categories have been added to the award program.

The new categories seek to identify firms that have implemented outstanding recruiting/retention as well as mentoring/employee enrichment programs.

"In an industry where winning the talent war is paramount to success, the ability to attract and retain the best people has never been so important," said Consulting Magazine Director, Michael A. Webb. Firms must now navigate a highly fluid and nomadic workforce, so acquiring and keeping those valuable individuals has risen far beyond just pay and traditional benefits."

So this year, not only will Consulting Magazine honor the outstanding young professionals in our industry, but also those firms delivering successful programs and initiatives designed to attract, retain talent and improve their work environment. The new firm categories include:

Recruiting and Retention: There are many nontraditional and complex factors which are now table-stakes deliverables for securing talent that firms without a strategic and well-supported program are at a perilous disadvantage.

This award is for firms that have created and implemented outstanding recruiting and retention programs, and requires applicants to describe and substantiate a program or initiative's scope, budget, philosophy, timelines and goals. Submitters must also provide qualitative evidence of the initiative's measurable criteria and success.

Mentoring and Enrichment: A key to engaging and motivating valued talent is through transforming workplace culture and spurring organizational success is via mentoring and employee enrichment programs.

Successful programs to energize and elevate employee engagement are founded in an environment of growth, inclusion and the nurturing of leadership and professional development.
