Christi Byrd has been named national business line leader for Advisory at WSP USA, a leading engineering, environment and professional services consultancy.

During her two decades with WSP, Byrd has driven growth, efficiency and innovations across the firm through her inspirational leadership and expertise.

In her new role, Byrd will lead the continued expansion and success of the Advisory practice, which has more than 300 team members nationwide, with a future-forward focus on growing services and deepening client relationships in transportation, buildings, energy, water and environment.

"Throughout her career, Christi's inspirational leadership and expertise has driven organic growth, operational efficiency and inspired leading innovations," said Sofia Berger, WSP senior vice president and national director of Transportation and Infrastructure. "I'm excited for Christi to bring her incredible passion to the mission of Advisory, and for the spark of energy she will provide to our incredible Advisory experts as they drive deeper collaboration throughout WSP."

Byrd has been with WSP for more than two decades and previously served as a vice president and the Advisory business line director of the systems analysis group. Working nationally, Byrd is based in WSP's Albuquerque office.

"Advisory is a major differentiator at WSP and is crucial to our integrated offerings, providing our clients a one-stop-shop for support, from policy development through delivery and the long-term management of their assets," Berger said. "Christi will play a key role in the continued expansion and success of an Advisory team that is constantly innovating to create a more sustainable, equitable and connected world."

Byrd is a certified project manager professional through the WSP Global Leadership Academy. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a master's degree in applied mathematics, and of New Mexico State University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics.
