What has motivated you to excel over the course of your career?

My motivators have varied over the years but what has remained constant is my passion for improving healthcare in this country and making a difference in people's lives. I am humbled that our clients are willing to be vulnerable and ask for our help, and I'm motivated to help them solve some of their most complex challenges.

What has been the biggest factor in your success so far?

My family. I am very blessed with a husband that has not just been supportive but also a cheerleader of my career, and many times sacrificed his own personal career advancement in support of mine.

What do you enjoy most about your career in the consulting industry?

There are three things that I love about consulting. 1) I get to help our clients solve challenging problems within an industry that has an impact on every single one of us – Healthcare. 2) Each day is different from the day before and I'm continuously learning something new. 3) I'm lucky to work with outstanding leaders and colleagues within Huron and with our clients.

What is your proudest achievement to date?

Achievement for me shows up in a few different ways. Professionally, it's when I've played a role in helping our clients or our employees achieve their goals. Personally, it is balancing being a mom, wife, daughter, friend, leader, colleague and individual. I strive to prioritize where to show up to make the greatest impact.

What's the best advice you've ever been given?

Be brave and bold. My father gave me that advice early in my life and that carries through at Huron as a focus in our culture of building great leaders. Don't be afraid to try new things, I've never regretted pushing myself outside my comfort zone.

What does this recognition mean to you?

It is important to me that our work is grounded in what is always best for our clients. To receive an award for client service is the single most validating award I could receive in my career.
