This industry assessment will identify the top 50 management consultancies in the U.S. based on head count, revenues, diversity and ESG programming. The ranking utilizes direct survey data from each firm. The CM50 will provide an authoritative list, examining the top 50 firms by the number of consultants employed and revenue generated and by gathering metrics on the operating culture and social responsibility of the leading organizations in our industry.
The CM50 census is open May 18 and submissions close June 30. A link to the survey can be found here.
"We believe there is a place for more in-depth assessment of our industry," says Michael Webb, Director of Consulting Magazine. "It's not enough to just count revenues and billable staff. It is important to see who is pushing boundaries and doing what's right for their employees, clients and communities."
The 50 finalists will be announced this summer and the ranking order will be announced at a gala dinner honoring those firms in Chicago, Oct. 12, 2023.
The census collects information regarding each organization's location, structure, average FTE (full-time equivalent) employee counts, fiscal year financial information and average FTE employee data by gender, ethnicity, and sexual preference.
Webb continued, "In such a highly competitive industry, clients are increasingly looking for differentiators when evaluating firms they want to work with. We are confident CM50 will provide the sound data and metrics for such assessments."
CM50 was created with ALM Media Intelligence, which produces the highly regarded legal rankings, American Lawyer 100 (AmLaw 100) and National Law Journal (NLJ 500), and is considered the industry standard for law firm evaluation.
