What has been the biggest factor in your success so far?
Defining goals and achieving them has always been the fuel that drives me as an individual and a leader. I set goals for myself and then create actionable steps to achieve them. When faced with high-stake situations, I operate in facts and can break down large and complex issues into smaller and more palatable pieces that feel achievable. Most importantly, I operate with integrity, and communicate honestly and transparently even when it requires me to challenge the norm.
What do you enjoy most about your career in the consulting industry?
I enjoy problem-solving and working with a variety of clients to help them develop strategies and achieve their objectives. As a consultant, I get to perform that role alongside a diverse range of very intelligent people, showcasing my skills and broadening my experiences along the way.
What is your proudest achievement to date?
I am extremely proud that as I've led clients to success on their initiatives, I have also been able to create and build my own food truck business with my husband. As an entrepreneur, my children have witnessed the hard work and dedication it takes to build a business and develop a product that customers love. It is a labor of love, but it brings immense joy when customers rave about our products. Instilling work ethic and building a legacy for our children is paramount.
What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Don't spend your life focused solely on attaining success because you'll lose sight of the journey. Success isn't a destination, it's the moments you make and the people you impact along the way.
What does this recognition mean to you?
I feel privileged to be nominated for this award and being recognized as a leader amongst esteemed colleagues. As a woman in this industry, it is an honor and further affirms that in the success and the failures I've experienced, I have served this industry well and have made an impact on my clients and my peers.
