My proudest achievement has been the development of my professional relationships with our internal and external clients. I am truly lucky to work alongside such talented colleagues and savvy clients who appreciate my efforts and taught me how to become a better professional.
What's the best advice you've ever been given?
"It's not you versus me, it's us versus the problem." When we are working in a collaborative environment under stressful deadlines, it is important to understand and diagnose the underlying issue preventing trust, teamwork and collaboration. This advice helps me reframe the issue by asking: "What is the problem? How can our team tackle this issue together? What can we do to position our team in the best position to the benefit of our clients?" It takes a team to untangle a stubborn knot and this advice has helped me refocus to understand the problem, corral resources to address it, and work together to attack it.
What does this recognition mean to you?
Receiving the Rising Star Award is an incredible honor. It is a validation of the utmost care reserved for my clients, the industrious dedication to my career, and a future reminder of the impact I may have on the industry. I believe the recognition comes with an obligation to give back to the community by mentoring and supporting my colleagues and striving for excellence in the insurance industry.
