What do you consider your greatest personal or professional achievement?
My greatest achievement to date has been creating impactful consulting teams who have been able to handle adverse client situations and are on the path to becoming the next-gen leaders. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction when I see some of the people who I have mentored right from the beginning of their careers scaling new heights in the industry.
What advice would you give to a female consultant just beginning her career?
My advice to any consultant would be to not let gender define your choices. Be confident and plan your career, set up milestones and celebrate your success. Build on your strengths and own your failures.
What do you enjoy most about your consulting career?
Throughout my consulting career, I have loved solving business problems. I enjoy when our customers, team members and mentees look up to me for guidance, to help them with their challenges and I can advise and direct them to solutions. Seeing them moving forward with our solutions and ideas gives me a great sense of achievement. As a consultant, you can make an impact on the market, business and people, which is an absolute delight.
What's the best advice—personal or professional—you've ever received?
Always be true to yourself, your teams and your customers. This will enable you to make the right decisions for your clients as well as your organization. Respect time – whether it's yours or someone else's.
What does being honored as a Woman Leader in Consulting mean to you?
This recognition is a catalyst to establish myself as a role model and provide an opportunity to reach and influence more people, especially women to encourage them to take up more strategic and leadership roles. Without sounding biased, I firmly believe there are still many women who hold back their true potential for several reasons. Not just women, this recognition can be an example for everyone with the potential to walk the path of success and achievements with self-belief all throughout.
