CMAG: How would you say you've managed to stay among the industry's Best Small Firms to Work For amid these unprecedented times?
We've accomplished this by staying true to our values and keeping our focus on our dual aspirations of being one of the best companies to work for and one of the best companies to do business with.
Adapting to a changing, hybrid work environment, with people based in geographies across the United States, involves hundreds of individual business decisions. Even though times are changing, if you stay focused on your North Star and keep those aspirations top of mind, all decisions you make will align with that mission. We're constantly asking ourselves "Are we still moving in the direction of being one of the best companies to work for and to work with?" This doesn't mean you don't make mistakes and have to make corrections along the way. It just means that if things ever get off track, you can always find your way back to the right path.
CMAG: Were there any specific programs or initiatives (internal or external) that contributed to you being a Best Small Firm to Work For?
I think our flexibility played a big role. On a quarter-by-quarter basis, we look at the changing environment and what those changes mean for our employees. We've been working to understand the mental wellness of our employees and their families amid huge changes in our geographic, social, and political environments. People have different needs and requirements, and when you're looking across a spectrum of 300 people located around the country, you have to broaden your field of understanding.
Our approach isn't complicated. We don't forget the details, the small things like sending out care packages. At the same time, we stand ready to make big changes, like addressing healthcare coverage, which is different this year from what it was three years ago and is also different across states. We make sure that we adapt our policies as state and national policies change.
Additionally, our values continue to shine in our hiring. The instruction that we give every employee is "once you're on the inside, you become a guardian of the culture," and that's true for anyone on our team. The ability to perform the tasks of the job is just half of what's required to work here. Looking for great cultural fits means we're not for everyone. However, those who are a great cultural fit are likely to be very happy here.
CMAG: What's unique about your firm? What sets it apart?
From the longest-serving employee to the newest team member, we all care about each other. We take a servant leadership approach, and a leader is anyone from an analyst to the CEO. If your approach is "we're here to serve each other and to make each other better," then your result is a net score higher. Also, it doesn't take too much talking to too many employees to understand that one of the values here is we want to do is have fun. We could grow bigger, faster, but that wouldn't be as much fun.
CMAG: What's the top priority over the next 6 to 12 months?
We want to continue to evolve our understanding of client needs so that we continue to be experts in our field. This leads to the ever-greater value that our clients place on our consultants—and to greater job satisfaction among those contributing to our shared goals. As a Logic20/20 employee, your value is you. You are valued. Your opinion matters. Your work matters, and the outcomes of your work matter.
CMAG: When you look at the remainder of this year and 2023, what excites you? What opportunities do you see in your future?
We're excited to see the fruits of our labor over the past 18 months and our growth and value in the industries that we serve, and those are telecommunications, high-tech, utilities, and healthcare.
CMAG: What impact do you think being a Best Small Firm to Work For has on the firm? Employees? Clients?
It's everything. If we continue to be one of the "Best Firms to Work For," we'll continue to attract great talent and retain the best people. All boats rise with a rising tide, so as a result, we'll continue to elevate the quality of solutions for our clients. The accolade is one thing, but the feeling and the emotion of being a part of a team recognized on this list is what makes it great for both our clients and our employees.
CMAG: Thank you, and congratulations.
