CMAG: How would you say you've managed to stay among the industry's Best Small Firms to Work For amid these unprecedented times?
We take care of our people. We are still growing and strive to offer the best experience for our team members. From things like unlimited vacation to supporting their career growth through professional development, we aim to be the best place our team members have ever worked, or will ever work in their careers. We believe in the simple fact that if we take care of our people, they will take care of our customers, and simply put, that's when the magic happens.
CMAG: Were there any specific programs or initiatives (internal or external) that contributed to you being a Best Small Firm to Work For?
From the very beginning, we have focused on building a people-centered culture. Our team members come first, and if we take good care of our team and invest in our culture and people, it will be much easier to do great work for our clients. We are guided by our company's six core values. These are the rules of the road we live by. We communicate them to prospective employees during the interview process and orientation and continue to reinforce them in our day-to-day work lives, including at internal meetings where we recognize and call out real-life examples of those who have displayed these values. Our core values are: Have Fun, We Lead, Excellence, Be Accountable, Collaborate, and Learn and Grow.
CMAG: What's unique about your firm? What sets it apart?
The pursuit of the almighty dollar is not our first or second priority. We recognize we need to take a long view of our business and craft a culture that helps us excel at client service while taking great care of our people. Many of our team members have previous Big Four consulting experience, which enhances our capabilities, from clinical to business and operations, That is unique and truly helps our clients steer their future paths.
CMAG: What's the top priority over the next 6 to 12 months?
Our 12-month focus is on developing our internal frameworks, methods, and tools to scale the growth we are experiencing as a firm. Our success is validated by Consulting Magazine as being recognized to be one of the Best Small Firms to work for. We are also top-ranked by KLAS Research, a leading research firm in the health care industry for health IT advisory services. These accolades will help propel our growth over the next 12 months.
CMAG: When you look at the remainder of this year and 2023, what excites you? What opportunities do you see in your future?
Health Care providers are experiencing unprecedented challenges due to the long-term impact of the pandemic on the hospital labor force and healthcare consumer expectations of care. This dynamic environment means our clients are seeking assistance in several key areas. How can they become more efficient operators to reduce expenses and improve care delivery? How can IT prove a return on investment by helping administrators and caregivers deliver the right care at the right time with the right information? How can they adapt to changes in the workforce, so they do not disrupt clinical outcomes and profitability?
CMAG: What impact do you think being a Best Small Firm to Work For has on the firm? Employees? Clients?
This recognition has a very positive impact on our team members and clients. It is a reflection of the great team we have within the firm. Employee satisfaction has a direct correlation with customer satisfaction, as highly engaged employees provide superior levels of service to their clients. Our success is evident not only by our recognition by Consulting Magazine on the employee engagement side but also by our top KLAS rankings, which reflect high levels of client satisfaction.
