Elixirr announced the team hire of Jersey-based firm, KIT Consulting. KIT's Founder and CEO Emiko Caerlewy-Smith will join their growing partner team, and with her the expertise of Jane Flemmer and Amy King who will join Elixirr as Principal and Manager, respectively.
With 20 years of financial services and consulting experience, Emiko has held a number of senior roles in organizations including Lloyds Banking Group and PwC. Most recently, as Channel Islands COO of Barclays, her broad remit gave her responsibility for strategy, innovation, change, transformation, risk and governance, to name a few. In 2018, Emiko left Barclays and returned to her consulting roots, setting up KIT, a purpose-led consulting firm.
Since its foundation, the team at KIT has worked with global financial services clients to embed ESG into the heart of business strategy and operations. Harnessing sustainability as a core business management tool, KIT's clients are now capitalizing on the opportunity for sustainability-led innovation and transformation while striving for positive environmental and social impact.
Alongside this work, KIT Consulting drive initiatives that exemplify their mission to be a net positive contributor to businesses, communities and broader global environments. This has included hosting private sector round tables for the UN Development Programme and G20 to discuss key ESG challenges facing asset owners, their banks and asset managers, and launching the Jersey #BuildBackBetter initiative – an educational program that aims to inspire and upskill the next generation of sustainable finance leaders.
Emiko's appointment to the partner team not only broadens the firm's ESG and financial services expertise, and expands their presence in Jersey. She joins Elixirr Partner Matt Gorman.
"In order to continue tackling the most pressing boardroom challenges for our clients, we must stay at the forefront of changing market demands. Em and the team at KIT bring a wealth of experience – their core expertise, combined with a forward-thinking, innovative approach to sustainability and transformation will be a huge value-driver for our clients, allowing them to transform key global-scale challenges into revenue and growth opportunities," noted Stephen Newton, Founder & CEO of Elixirr. "As a founder herself, Emiko brings the entrepreneurial mindset that I seek in all of my partners, and she will be an asset to the team. I can't wait to see the impact team KIT have in Elixirr's growth story."
"We founded KIT as a purpose-led consulting firm to make a real, material impact for clients, and becoming part of Elixirr will supercharge our ability to do just that. Stephen's ambitious leadership is hugely inspiring, and we cannot wait to experience the energy, quality and collaboration of our new colleagues at Elixirr," said Emiko Caerlewy-Smith, Founder & CEO of KIT Consulting. "KIT could not be more culturally aligned to the team at Elixirr, and we are excited to start helping global clients transform ESG challenges into innovative opportunities for growth. We have been following Elixirr's phenomenal journey for the past few years with great interest, and I'm delighted that we are now a part of it."
