What do you consider your greatest personal or professional achievement?
The idea that I've had the professional freedom to spend the vast majority of my career doing innovative work with smart and highly creative people around me every day is by far my greatest professional achievement. To do that, too, while having the opportunity to partner with leaders across all major industries and markets, and the great privilege to meet with their workers "up close and personal" in every imaginable work environment, has been fascinating and delightful.
What advice would you give a professional just beginning a career in consulting?
Work to learn…you'll be a better consultant and you'll never be disappointed in the time you spend in consulting.
What have you loved most about your consulting career?
The diverse, interesting, passionate people who make businesses work, and work happen, around the world every day. I'm forever impressed and inspired by the people who imagine, design, serve, build and sell…applying their crafts every day and especially over these many recent years characterized by challenging, dynamic change. I love watching how people find both planful and scrappy ways to make their companies great every day.
