The 2022 Women Leaders In Technology: Clementine Blaker

Graduating with a BSc Hons Biological Sciences in 2019, Clemmie went on to begin her career as a Human Capital Analyst before pursuing a role at Capco on the Associate Data Program in 2021. Her role as a Data Analytics and BI Consultant is currently focused on an ESG (Environmental, Social, & Governance) project for a Tier 1 Global Bank. Clemmie uses tools such as Tableau and Qlik Sense to transform bank wide data into measurable KPIs (key performance indicators) to support the client in tracking their progress against long-term sustainability goals.

What do you consider your greatest personal or professional achievement?

In the past I've raised over £33k for charity through running charity fashion shows. As well as being incredibly fun events to organize, they are also an extremely rewarding initiative to be involved in.

What advice would you give a professional just beginning a career in consulting?

Get stuck into new opportunities, upskill when you can, don't be afraid of asking for help.

What have you loved most about your consulting career?

Consulting has provided me with the opportunity to meet amazing, intelligent individuals from all walks of life. I love the fast-paced nature of projects and the ability to expand my remit of work regularly. I've also recently had the opportunity to work on a pro bono consulting project which has been extremely rewarding.

What's the best advice—personal or professional—you've ever received

Make sure to celebrate the achievements and milestones in your career (no matter how incremental). They don't come around every day! What does being honored as a Woman Leader in Technology mean to you? I'm delighted to be recognized for this award so early on in my career, especially amongst a group of such inspiring women. It's a great opportunity to showcase the work I've done whilst at Capco and a fantastic launch pad to meet all the people involved in this award too.
