What do you consider your greatest personal or professional achievement?

Community service and leadership through Grail Family Services (board, officer and committee roles for a non-profit that partners with families, schools and communities to promote children's success and well-being), the Housing and Human Services Commission for the City of Sunnyvale, California (advising the City Council on programs, policies and issues related to housing and human services), the Junior League of San Jose (women committed to improving our community through voluntarism), and the State Public Affairs Committee of the Junior Leagues of California (representing thousands of women across California and advocating for issues that affect our members and their communities).

What advice would you give a professional just beginning a career in consulting?

Bring your authentic self to the table. As a consultant, your talents are what the client is seeking. If you bring your talents to the forefront, you will always be focused on providing valued service.

What have you loved most about your consulting career?

I love the trusted relationships I have with my clients that bring us together, again and again, to solve problems, strategize and address the needs of their businesses. I also love the diversity that comes from consulting, working with many people, in many industries, on many issues, and in multiple roles.

What's the best advice—personal or professional—you've ever received?

Step up. Take on new challenges. Don't let perceptions or expectations stand in your way.

What does being honored as a Woman Leader in Technology mean to you?

I am incredibly honored to receive this award. It represents everything I am focused on in my career – my clients. To be recognized for excellence in client service is the embodiment of my professional passion.
