What has been the biggest factor in your success so far?

The key factor to my career success has been having two managers who support me no matter what. They continue to teach me, coach me, and, most importantly, trust me to deliver quality work through my intense commitment to my client's success. My managers are always present to be a sounding board, giving me time and mentorship that has helped me become a better problem solver and manager to my own team. They push and enable me to be my best self and have been instrumental in both my personal and professional growth.

What do you enjoy most about your career in the consulting industry?

In the information technology field, particularly based on my experience within the public sector, I've learned that success comes not from one person but from an entire team of individuals who work together effectively. I enjoy being a part of teams that motivate me to continue delivering results and share a common goal of helping those less fortunate. I take pride in and enjoy knowing the systems I've worked on have helped parents access the care their children need in a more efficient manner. As a parent, I understand the many challenges and struggles parents face related to the health and well-being of their child; I enjoy being a player in making that process easier for parents and families less fortunate than I am and making a positive impact on the lives of children across our state.

What's the best advice you've ever been given?

The best advice I've received is to delegate tasks to foster growth. Delegation is essential to further my career, as it allows me to focus on other, critical tasks, be more strategic in decision-making, and increase efficiencies for the entire team. But additionally, it enables my team members to grow in their own careers and become the future leaders of my project teams and our firm.
