What would you say has been the biggest factor in your success so far?
The supportive managers and coworkers that I have had the pleasure of working alongside have played a big role in my success. I've also been supported by the many relationships I have built over the years — whether it be a benefits provider, payroll provider, retirement provider, or employment attorney. No one can be an expert in everything. With the expertise and guidance from the listed providers, I have been successful in supporting my clients throughout my career.
What do you enjoy most about your career in the consulting industry?
I do not think I can answer this with just one reason. First and foremost, I value the flexibility to have a career and at the same time be a mom and a wife. I do not have to give up any of those important factors in my life. Secondly, I work the best at a fast-paced, busy speed. Working as a consultant allows me to have a change of pace daily and it keeps me on my toes.
What is your proudest achievement to date?
My proudest achievement is not one scenario. My proudest achievements are when a client informs me that I have given them all the tools and training they needed to be successful moving forward or when an employee approaches me and tells me that I made an impact on their work and/or their work environment in a positive manner. I am proudest when I know that by doing my job, I have helped someone else!
