Jason is a Deloitte Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) partner based in London. He leads the global Value Creation Services offering with more than 1,000 professionals to support the largest and most complex M&A transactions and help Private Equity firms identify and deliver maximum deal value. Jason specializes in planning and delivery of global carve-outs, realization of merger benefits, and helps clients during activist investor (hedge fund) campaigns. Most recently, Jason created and built Deloitte's Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) M&A team and has written articles on related topics.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Jason completed his PhD at Oxford University and was a research physicist. He and his wife, Helen, have two daughters.

What do you consider your greatest personal or professional achievement?

Building a cohesive, fast-growing and innovative global business.

What advice would you give a professional just beginning a career in consulting?

Usually, the exam question you are given is not addressing the underlying issue – dig. Be wary of using methodologies, they often prevent you from creatively and quickly solving the problem.

What have you loved most about your consulting career?

The excitement of working on the largest M&A deals with great people from around the world. The freedom to innovate and push boundaries.

What's the best advice—personal or professional—you've ever received?

Apply the 80/20 rule, be curious!

What does being honored as a Global Leader mean to you?
