The 2021 Global Leaders in Consulting: Edward Francis

Francis was instrumental in leading the relaunch of Infosys' service offerings, starting three new business units, hiring 100 new experts and consultants, and overhauling the firm's go-to-market model. Recently he led the opening of 10 new multi-million dollar client accounts, resulting in 20 percent year-on-year revenue growth for the life sciences practice.

As for what it means to be named a Global Leader in Consulting, Francis called the honor "the crowning glory of my three-decade long career" and "an extremely humbling yet gratifying moment."

"For my firm and clients, a recognition from such a prestigious and well-known publication, and from amongst such worthy peers, is a reaffirmation of the extraordinary work that our consultants around the globe are doing every day," he says.

Accomplishments of which Francis says he's extremely proud include creating some of the world's most innovative programs for clients' transformation journeys and spearheading the world's collective fight against the pandemic, fueled by the groundbreaking use of AI and digital capabilities.

"Outside of Infosys Consulting, the thought-leadership content that i manage and publish as the executive editor of DistiliNFO, a life science digital publication that reaches half a million decision makers in healthcare, retail and IT, and shapes industry conversations, is also close to my heart," he says.

Q&A: What has been the biggest key to your success so far?

"I would say humility and passion. These have been the driving force of my career. The more humble I have been, and the more open to change and learning, the more I have grown – both professionally and personally. Working in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment as Infosys Consulting, where we work with amazing consultants from every corner of the world has been an exhilarating learning journey. The power of the collective is truly transformational and has propelled me forward in my path."
