Excellence in Leadership
Hank Prybylski started in consulting in 1997 when he and EY saw an opportunity to bring together regulatory expertise, quantitative skills and technology to help banks transform their businesses using derivatives.
"Since then I have enjoyed bringing together diverse skills to drive transformations," he says. "I have always enjoyed and thrived on the steep continuous learning curve of consulting. Consulting is a career of constant learning and applying your cumulative learnings to work as team to solve the newest problems."
Consulting is a team sport and Prybylski says he loves being part of diverse team of innovators. "Consulting has afforded me the opportunity to meet so many incredible people," he says. "I have been amazed and inspired by their stories and accomplishments."
Today, with over 30 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies, Hank Prybylski is the EY Global Vice Chair—Transformation, overseeing organization-wide innovation and business transformation efforts to support the development of long-term value creation.
He advises C-level executives on leading management techniques, developing risk functions and business transformation. He works with clients to break down silo functions and embed a robust risk culture throughout their organization.
Prior to his current role, he served as EY Vice Chair—Americas Consulting, overseeing more than 20,000 consultants providing digital, analytics, cybersecurity, technology, risk and people services.
"EY's purpose is to build a better working world. Consultants have a unique opportunity to reimagine and lead our clients in change to better their organizations thereby helping their clients, their employees and the communities they serve. I have been fortunate to be part of an organization driven by purpose," Prybylski says. "I am proudest of working with our clients during the financial crisis. It was some of the most challenging and rewarding work of my career."
The lessons that he learned of leading through a crisis and helping clients chart a path through turmoil are invaluable for the COVID19 crisis, he says. "The consulting industry has the opportunity and obligation to support our employees, client and communities in our response to COVID19. The consulting industry has and will continue to be a driver of innovation to solve the hardest problems."
