The 2020 Top 25 Consultants: Susan Stewart

Fast forward to today and Stewart is now Vice President at Impact Advisors where she will be responsible for overall quality of delivery for assigned clients and engagements. She will work with Impact associates to maximize client project successes and relationships. Stewart also will help define scope and develop proposals for clients and work closely with relationship managers and assist with strategic account planning.

Over the past two-and-a-half years, Stewart says had the opportunity to partner with a terrific organization and lead an amazing team of consultants who achieved a very challenging goal. "I have worked with some talented teams throughout my career, but I am most proud of that team and what they were able to accomplish," she says. "Each team member was willing to dig deep to evolve and grow individually, while demonstrating a healthy balance of intelligence, creativity, tenacity, persistence and outstanding teamwork. I am so very proud of this team and our collective achievement in partnership with an industry leading organization."

Coupled with her strong work ethic, Stewart says she also has a passion for helping organizations and people grow and transform. "I am a change agent at heart and, as a change leader, I truly enjoy leading people and helping organizations to get from point A to point B and achieve goals and success, which they may have originally doubted," Stewart says.

Stewart attributes her success to being fortunate to be raised by a very special dad who instilled a strong work ethic in she and her siblings at a very early age.  "He taught us to always think like an employer instead of an employee," she says.

As far as winning a Top 25 Consultants award, Stewart says it represents a remarkable team effort, along with a special recipe for professional success! "It truly means that I was very fortunate to work for a client who was a great partner, with a team of Winners—we refer to our Impact Advisors associates as "Winners"—who were willing to put the team first," she says. "I am so grateful to receive this award and to be a part of an exceptional consulting firm with extraordinary leadership that continues to support me, and entrusts in my leadership, instincts, judgment, and my heart."

Q&A: What do you enjoy or have you enjoyed most about your consulting profession? 

Stewart: Hands down, working for Impact Advisors!  We have a unique corporate culture comprised of a very talented team of consultants who are terrific human beings and have exceptional leadership. They have established a set of corporate values and lead by example, with a Happyologist on staff whose sole responsibility is to insure each of our happiness!
