Helping clients and employees achieve their goals and objectives is what Loren Trimble enjoys most about consulting. "I have always been thrilled to bring concepts and opportunities to people that they doubted and then proved it to them that it could be done," Trimble says. "People say that if you want Loren to accomplish something, tell me it cannot be done! Consulting has afforded me the platform to achieve these successes. I am truly living my dream."
Trimble is the CEO of AArete, his primary focus is creating and molding AArete's business solutions, while also helping clients achieve short term and long-term goals related to profit improvement. In addition to his client focus, he also plays a significant role in thought leadership for the firm and is at the core of AArete's Knowledge Management Center.
He counts the founding of AArete as one of his proudest professional accomplishments. "I was driven by an entrepreneurial hunger and ambition that required me to take risk. Fortunately, I had a small group of people with a large amount of faith in each other that followed me on this exciting journey," Trimble says. "Today we have a consultancy that people are proud to work for and repeat clients seeking our unique results and data driven services. Our best days are in front of us!"
Indeed. In the last twelve months, the firm has completed a merger with Third I that will allow AArete to further enable its solutions and services with deeper technology and data capabilities to better serve clients, he says. "I am also extremely proud of the many "Best Places to Work" awards we've been given, it shows everyone what we already knew— that AArete is a special place where people can build a career."
Trimble is quick to point out that "AArete" (minus the extra 'A') means "excellence" in Greek. "I think the pursuit of excellence is always what has motivated me," he says. "I am fortunate as I have always perceived that others can do things better than me, thus creating a visceral relentless drive to do things to the best of my ability."
As far as being recognized as a Global Leader in Consulting, Trimble says it's "very humbling when considering so many peers and colleagues that could just as easily be receiving this award," he says. "This award is more an award for the firm and I get to be the CEO recipient otherwise, it is business as usual, we are only as good as the teams around us and as our clients believe we are, that being said, we need to continue to deliver digital data driven profit improvements all over the world every day."
Q&A: What's been the biggest factor to your success?
"The biggest factor of my success has been my relationships starting with my faith and family. These pillars have consistently motivated me and supported me during tough times. When others had doubts about starting a consulting firm in the middle of a major economic downturn, my family and colleagues stood with me in creating the firm we have today."
