Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?

Smith: It starts with our team of exceptionally talented associates. We hire the best and the brightest in the Healthcare industry but we don't stop there. Our selective and steady internal growth contributes to the collaborative and high quality work our team members provide for our clients, which is a key contributor to our consistent financial growth. Feedback directly from our clients has resulted in Impact Advisors being recognized as the 2019 Best in KLAS Overall Service Provider, an award we have received 5 out of the last 7 years – which underscores the consistent high quality service our clients experience from the work we deliver.

Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?

Smith:  Amid the shifting nature of the healthcare industry, we have continued to grow and expand our services in 2019 to meet the needs and challenges our clients face. This year, we have continued to expand our Application Management Services and ERP services as well as grow our presence in the Cybersecurity, Digital Health, and Telehealth space. By maintaining our foundational services while also growing several new service areas, we anticipate meeting our strategic and operational growth goals for 2019 and are excited for our opportunities to come in 2020.

Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2020? 

Smith: We are excited for 2020 and the many opportunities we see to help our clients grow in their success. We will continue to be engaged in projects that help our clients fully utilize and recognize the benefits of their EMR systems through data analytics, and clinical and revenue cycle optimization and process improvement projects. We anticipate growth in our Digital Health and Telehealth practices that will help our clients plan and integrate new technologies to address the desires of consumers while enhancing our clients' patient experience. Overall, 2020 looks like it will be an inspiring year filled with promising opportunities to continue our growth.

Consulting: What are your firm's biggest challenges in 2020?

Smith: Healthcare organizations are constantly challenged with the struggle to do more with less. Large investments in EMR systems have taken a financial toll on some organizations while acquisition and mergers have also continued to consume a large portion of healthcare organizations' budgets.
