Consulting: What were the main factors that contributed to your firm's exceptional growth?

Price: Last July, A-LIGN climbed a significant mountain raising a $54.5 million growth equity investment from FTV Capital. The capital infusion continues to allow us to focus on the development of our innovative technology and increase our already expansive list of industry-leading service offerings and capabilities, hire technical experts and expand our global footprint. With the growing rate of cyberattacks, an increasing amount of data and business process outsourcing, as well as third-party vendor and risk management—IT audit and risk assessment services is a rapidly expanding multi-billion market driven by substantial tailwinds.

Consulting: How is this year shaping up for your firm?

Price: This year, A-LIGN is experiencing tremendous growth as we celebrate our 10 years in business. Our team of 294 professionals serves more than 2,300 clients across 30 countries and four continents. With a strong focus on expanding our footprint across the globe to service more clients, we have opened an office in Denver's Silicon Mountain, expanded our headquarters in Tampa and are opening an office in Bulgaria.

Consulting: How would you describe your firm's outlook for 2020? 

Price: 2020 is gearing up to be an exciting year—with even a greater audience to bolster our ability to provide businesses of all sizes the cybersecurity, assurance and compliance solutions they need to run an efficient operation. With the ability to help our clients by enhancing service offerings in a holistic fashion with A-SCEND 2.0, our governance, risk management and compliance software will offer clients a faster, cutting-edge platform and enhance their user experience while minimizing interruptions to daily business operations. We are currently expanding our partnership model with cybersecurity and privacy firms to help drive further growth.

Consulting: What are your firm's biggest challenges in 2020?

Price:  As cyber threats continue to increase, so does the shortage of qualified cybersecurity professionals. With an everchanging and highly sophisticated threat landscape, the current gap in the cybersecurity talent pool is one of our industry's biggest challenges going into 2020. To address the talent shortage, we're investing heavily in our employees by providing them with ongoing leadership and career development courses, technical training and certification reimbursement. 

Consulting: What does being named a Fastest Growing Firm mean to your firm, employees and clients?

Price: It's an incredible achievement to be recognized as one of the fastest-growing firms for the first time by Consulting Magazine. A-LIGN is in a highly competitive and dynamic market and our ability to improve our service offerings for our clients as the regulatory environment and threat landscape continues to change gives us the momentum we need to help our clients grow and scale their own businesses. This milestone is also a visible recognition for the efforts of our employees and their commitment to providing exceptional customer service to our clients by placing their needs first. This holistic and innovative approach is why we see a 94 percent client satisfaction rating and a 96 percent client retention rate.
